Welcome to the TPSA Information Pages! Read on to find more information about our Association!

This Association was organized in 1990 as the North Texas Process Servers Association for the express purpose of creating a vehicle to enhance the business of the process service community in North Texas. The first agenda was to bring to the courts attention the need for standing orders. After many hours of effort by the founding members, over a two year period, the Dallas courts granted such order. Since that time many other area courts followed suit. Eventually, through extensive efforts by members, TPSA staff and others, the Supreme Court of Texas issued a Misc docket order in June 2005 providing for statewide certification program for process servers. This certification program is administered through the Process Server Review Board (PSRB) consisting of nine members appointed by the Supreme Court of Texas and is supported in administrative function by the office of Court Administration

Texas has had several process server organizations over the past 15 - 20 years. However, due to various reasons, most have either been disbanded or have become inactive. TPSA is the only exception to that trend. Today, TPSA is about 530 Members strong and no longer strictly a "North Texas" association. TPSA is a strong Statewide Association. We have members from almost all areas of Texas and several who are from other states. For that reason, we dropped the "North" from our name. At the September 11, 2001 meeting, the membership voted to change our name to The Texas Process Servers Association. This was done in an effort to enhance the premises that we are here for the benefit of all process servers, not just those in the North Texas area. We sincerely solicit your membership and your support.

The current purpose of the Association is (1) Training and Education, (2) Legislation, (3) furthering the Professionalism of the process service industry, (4) networking with other members, and (5) fellowship among the members and the legal community.

If you are a part of, or otherwise interested in the process service industry, you are invited to attend as a guest. Guest are limited to two visits before joining (excluding spouses or family) . Membership Dues are $75.00 per year.  Associate Membership Dues (i.e., out-of-state persons) are $50.00 per calendar year.  All memberships expire 12 months or one calendar year after the date membership was finally approved.
